all of our therapists provide individual therapy to help people build healthier relationships, whether that’s with a romantic partner(s), co-workers, family, or the most important relationship - the one with themselves. all clinicians are equipped to support folks wanting to break free of codependency.
kim vervain, kristen goossens, and lindsey brock specialize in ethical nonmonogamy and polyamory. all of our therapists are lgbtq+ affirming.

how to deal with anxiety and depression
all of our therapists are highly experienced in working with anxiety and depression. we work with clients of all ages dealing with increasing anxiety and depression in our often chaotic and stressful society. whether through mindfulness techniques, emdr, eft, ifs, or other approaches, our clinicians offer a range of options to best fit each client’s needs. please see below for more information about our therapists who work specifically with teenagers, young adults, and college students on these issues.

all of our therapists work with neurodivergent folks in asheville and virtually across north carolina. specifically, kristen goossens and kim vervain specialize in adhd and autism; becky singer specializes in adhd; genevieve bingham and ailsa bennett specialize in working with highly sensitive people (hsp); alice berry often works with neurodivergent and hsp clients; and lindsey brock works with many adhd, gifted, and autistic clients.

several of our therapists also offer couples therapy and marriage counseling in asheville and remotely across north carolina. kim vervain, ailsa bennett, kristin gonitzke, and lindsey brock are our couples therapists. our therapists provide support to couples of all types and formations, in all stages of relationship.

pmdd/pms
ailsa bennett and kelsey reep specialize in providing support for individuals navigating pmdd and pms in asheville and online across nc. both of their approaches are rooted in understanding and empathy, recognizing the unique emotional and physical realities that each client experiences.
ailsa also offers support to couples or partners affected by pmdd, helping clients and their partners navigate the experience together with compassion and understanding.

abortion support
kelsey reep provides therapeutic support for clients before, during, and after an abortion. our practice affirms a person’s right to make decisions about their own body. outside of nc or looking for abortion crisis support, please reach out to kelsey so she can link you with appropriate care.

substance use support
many of our therapists are equipped to support clients around substance use. becky singer, genevieve bingham, and lindsey brock have a history of working in residential or detox crisis-related facilities and are experienced in supporting folks who are sober curious or have established a few months of sobriety. we are not the best fit when you are seeking substance use-specific support as the primary reason for therapy, or when you’re trying to navigate early recovery with a substance abuse specialist. if you are uncertain about whether you’re a fit, reach out to lindsey and she will help link you to the best therapist — whether that’s in this practice or in the greater community.

before lindsey’s adventure as the breakup therapist, she was the owner of 828 counseling-therapy for college students and young adults.
our team shares the same passion for providing counseling tailored specifically for college students and young adults in asheville, swannanoa, Mars Hill, and weaverville, and virtually all across north carolina. we’re lucky to support students from unca, warren wilson, mars hill university, lenoir-rhyne university, western carolina university, appalachain state, uncc, wake forest university, duke university, and unc chapel-hill.

therapy for teenagers, homeschool kids, and parents
kim vervain provides therapy for teenagers in asheville and online across north carolina, ages 10+. kristen goossens provides therapy for teenagers aged 13+, and ailsa bennett provides therapy for teenagers age 14+.
kim vervain also provides therapy specifically for homeschool kids and teenagers in asheville along with providing support for homeschool parents. she understands the unique challeneges and joys of these families.
