couples therapy in asheville, nc

i utilize eft (emotionally focused therapy) and work from a developmental and attachment lens to help couples of all types move towards healthier relationships with themselves and their partner/s. i work with couples who feel exhausted by their relationship and know something’s got to give, but can’t possibly imagine what “different” looks like or how to get there. i’m glad to help you move through this hard or confusing chapter in your relationship.

i help partners and couples:

  • repair after infidelity or betrayals

  • learn how to stay grounded when your partner triggers you

  • learn to communicate differently and stop repeating the same argument

  • find clarity about the future of their relationship

  • take responsibility in their relationship instead of waiting for something (or someone else) to change

individual therapy // online and in-person therapy in asheville and across north carolina

my clients feel like they're hanging on by a thread with little to no margin for error. just one more wrench in your day -or life- is all it takes for you to just stop trying - to change, to feel, or to believe your life could be different. my clients often try to please others, don’t prioritize their needs, or feel stuck in relationships. my clients may have experienced or witnessed abuse in childhood, need support managing their anxiety, or are ready to start using their voice for self advocacy, setting boundaries, or speaking up for the first time.

i help my clients:

  • better understand their anger and resentment

  • recognize how their childhood relationships impact their adult relationships

  • look within (instead of to others) for answers and clarity

  • learn how to set healthy boundaries instead of ultimatums

  • sidestep paralysis to recognize and pursue their dreams/desires/goals in life and relationships

  • identify and prioritize their own needs

  • find balance within their relationships to partners, friends, family, and work
