individual therapy // online and in person therapy in asheville and across north carolina
i work with people who feel overwhelmed and exhausted from the constant pressure to be, do, and live in a certain way. they may find themselves needing a lot of reassurance and often struggle to feel confident in their decisions. your friendships have felt “off” as of late (or maybe for a long time) and you’re left wondering if you’ve done something wrong, or how you might fix it this time. it’s easy to get stuck in your head about this kind of thing as you try so hard to “figure it all out.” but the harder you try to be the best friend/employee/partner possible, the less confident and in control you feel. i can help you move through this lonely, anxious place.
couples counseling
partnership can be both the source of our greatest safety and joy as well as the source of our deepest fear and pain. we all have unique life experiences that can make giving and receiving the love we want confusing and complicated. you want so badly to connect to the person you love so much; so why has it felt so impossible?
i know the desperate, hopeless place it is to be stuck in a cycle of defeat. using an attachment framework and EFT (emotionally focused therapy) as our guide, I help partners make sense of painful interactions and feel empowered to step into a new, intentional way of relating to each other. i am committed to inclusivity in my work, and i am LGBTQ+ and ENM affirming.
